Why Choose Us?

Professional Staff Team

What makes us different is our fantastic team of dedicated carers. Eleanor Aitken is the General Manager at The Kidz Stop and was appointed to the post as a result of the varied qualifications and extensive working experience she has achieved.

Caroline and Eleanor choose team members carefully to ensure that we continue to offer the highest possible standard of care. All new staff must pass a rigorous process of assessments and checks, and intensive Induction Training before joining the team.

As a qualified trainer, Eleanor offers tailored sessions to staff on a monthly basis to ensure our team is kept up to date with the latest developments in childcare and changes in regulatory requirements. As an acknowledgement of the way we manage and develop our staff team, we are delighted to have achieved the Investors in People Award.

The majority of our carers are parents themselves making us really different from other care providers. We believe that this helps us to create a home from home experience for your child.

Dedicated Cook

One of the less visible members of the team is our Cook who provides tasty, healthy meals each day for our children. You can relax in the knowledge that your child is well nourished and cared for while you are busy at work. Having our own cook onsite also enables us to cater for any food allergies and intolerances your child may have. Both permanent and Bank Staff are trained in Food Hygiene.

Broad Range of Activities

We believe that the broad range of activities offered at The Kidz Stop sets us apart from other nurseries. Traditional activities include music, sports, baking, imaginative play, story reading and art & crafts.

Once the children are old enough, computer activities are introduced as part of their program. As one of the Partnership Nurseries with Falkirk Council's Education Department, we have access to the latest range of educational resources through their Library Services facility.

Outdoor Play

The Nursery is ideally located to have easy access to a number of parks and play areas where children get a chance to learn more about the local environment. Bo'ness foreshore is within walking distance for the older children and gives them an opportunity to spot wildlife, and collect shells and sand for activities back at the Nursery. Staff take children of all age groups out every day, weather permitting.

Our outdoor gardens have been recently renovated and all weather surfaces have been added to make outdoor play more accessible to all age groups regardless of the weather. Situated adjacent to Kinneil Primary school, we have been granted access to their playing fields which we use regularly after school and in holiday periods.

Pre-school Partnership

For the past 6 years we have worked in partnership with Falkirk Council's Education Department to offer the Pre-school Curriculum to children age 3-5 years. One of the benefits of the partnership is the availability of grant funding for children in the 3-5 age range when parents choose The Kidz Stop for their child's pre-school education.
